While strolling near a countryside lake in Karnataka, India I encountered this Checkered Keelback snake devouring a bull frog. The frog seems to be beyond the capacity of the snake to be devoured at one shot as a result of which the checkered keelback looks frozen with no absolute body movement after it grabbed the frog. The image captures the stunning expression of the snake holding the frog.
