Nestled in the picturesque beach town of Gokarna, in the North Canara Region of Western India, lies this ancient Shiva Temple. Unique to this temple is its location within a cave, buried beneath the earth. As I gazed in wonder, sunlight streaming through an opening above the cave illuminated the sacred sanctum, casting an ethereal glow within the garbha-gruha(Sanctum).
